The best brunches in Marrakech in 2026

7 min readBy the Crusthy'lia team

In just a few years, Marrakech has built itself a genuine brunch scene: tables that care as much about where their ingredients come from as about the finished plate. This guide, written from our kitchen in Targa, helps you choose — with no spin, because we are part of the scene ourselves.

What is a real brunch in Marrakech?

Brunch in Marrakech is not just an imported trend. It is a layering of cultures: the beldi breakfast (eggs, msemen, thuya honey, argan), meeting French influences (viennoiseries, filter coffee), Mediterranean ones (avocado, salmon, hummus) and sometimes Asian ones too. The best brunch in town is the one that embraces this hybridity rather than hiding it.

In 2026, three criteria set apart the tables that truly matter: the freshness of the produce (baked the same day, never the day before), the coherence of the menu (not an endless list, but a set of well-handled choices), and the atmosphere (the warmth of a place with a personality of its own).

« The real luxury of brunch in Marrakech is time. A table that lets you take it. »

The districts worth exploring

Marrakech's brunch offering stretches far beyond the Medina. Here are the areas where the notable addresses are concentrated in 2026.

Guéliz — urban brunch

Guéliz remains the district with the highest density of brunch cafés. The tables there are often designed around natural light and the terrace. You eat well, fast, and sometimes pricey for the quality you actually get. Ideal for early risers who want to follow on with a day of sightseeing.

Hivernage — the hotel brunch

Hivernage is home above all to the big hotels offering weekend brunch buffets. The experience is often visually spectacular, but human warmth and culinary coherence are sometimes sacrificed to the logistics of mass catering.

Targa — the rising residential district

This is the district where we chose to set up. Targa is residential, less buzzy than Guéliz, and that is precisely what makes it fertile ground for a place like Crusthy'lia: here, guests come looking for a brunch, not an Instagram backdrop. The offering is still sparse, which leaves room for the addresses that genuinely put in the work.

Our address

Crusthy'lia — Targa, Marrakech

It would be dishonest not to start with ourselves: we are the ones writing this guide, and yes, Crusthy'lia is our house. But here is what we fully stand behind.

Our brunch menu is short by choice. Each set is conceived as a coherent whole: neither too much, nor too little. The breads are made here, every morning. The eggs come from local producers. The msemen, the harcha, the batbout — prepared on site, never frozen.

Our spot in Targa lets us keep a human pace: we know you by your first name by your second visit. Reservations are made on WhatsApp — not through an automated system, but by a real person on the team.

Practical tips for your brunch in Marrakech

The right moment

Brunch in Marrakech is best lived between 9am and 1pm. After 1pm, the lunch service takes over at most addresses. If you want to be sure of a table and to eat in peace, aim for 10am–11.30am.

To book or not?

On weekdays, most addresses welcome walk-ins. At the weekend (Friday, Saturday), tables go fast. At Crusthy'lia, we'd suggest sending us a WhatsApp message the day before — it's quick and it guarantees your table.

Average budget

Reckon on 55 to 120 MAD per person for a full brunch in Marrakech (drink included). The real price excesses are found mostly in the luxury hotels, where a brunch buffet easily tops 300 MAD. Neighbourhood tables generally offer the best value for money.

  • Giant menus with 60 items (a sign that nothing is truly under control).
  • Plate photos that are too perfect and don't look like what you're actually served.
  • Tables that can't tell you where their eggs or their bread come from.
