Family brunch in Marrakech: the kids' corner

6 min readBy the Crusthy'lia team

Brunching with kids shouldn't be a logistical ordeal. At Crusthy'lia, in Targa, the family weekend has its place: a children's menu designed for the under-10s, plates the little ones genuinely ask for, and a space comfortable enough to take your time. Here is how we organise the kids' corner — and how to make the most of it.

Why brunch as a family in Targa?

At the weekend, in Marrakech, families often look for the same thing: a place where parents can settle in calmly while the children eat what they really like, with no drama and no endless wait. Targa, a quiet residential district, lends itself well to it — fewer crowds than in the centre, more room to breathe.

At Crusthy'lia, we are a café, restaurant & artisan bakery, and we designed our morning service for groups as much as for family tables. Our brunch menu stays short and well handled, but alongside it, a proper children's menu lets the little ones have their own plate, to their taste and their size.

Pancakes and treats for the sweet-toothed

Some children (and quite a few parents) swear only by the sweet stuff at the weekend. Our 3 Fluffy Pancakes come plain, Nutella, red fruits or caramel banana — everything you need to build the ideal morning plate for a little sweet tooth. They also sit at the heart of our American brunch, served with eggs, potatoes and a basket of pistolet rolls made right here.

And because we're first and foremost an artisan bakery, the display of treats often delights the children at the end of the meal: pastries, desserts and sweets prepared on site. A cheesecake to share, a plate of seasonal fruit — there's always something to finish gently.

A comfortable space for families

A successful family brunch depends as much on the place as on the plate. Our room in Targa is designed so you can settle in without rushing: light, space between the tables, and a team that quickly knows the regulars by their first name. With a child, it changes everything — you're not cramped, and no one feels in the way.

We're open every day from 8am to midnight, which leaves real freedom: a late brunch on Sunday, an afternoon snack in the middle of the day, or a family dinner in the early evening. Weekend mornings remain the busiest moment — aim instead for 10am–11.30am to enjoy the calm before the rush.

  • Tables spaced enough for a pushchair or a high chair.
  • A short, readable menu: less waiting, faster choices for the children.
  • Breads and viennoiseries made every morning, never the day before.
Your family weekend

Book, or brunch at home

At the weekend, family tables go fast. The simplest thing is to send us a WhatsApp message the day before: no complicated form, a real person on the team replies and holds your table. Tell us how many children, and we'll set up the right corner.

Some weekends, you'd rather stay in your pyjamas. In that case, the brunch comes to you: we're on two Glovo stores — one on the café-restaurant side, the other on the bakery-patisserie side. Find all the details on our delivery page.

Frequently asked questions

From what age is the children's menu offered?
The children's menu is designed for the under-10s: portions, choices (burger, nuggets, pasta) and verrine of the day are calibrated for small appetites. For older ones, the brunch and à la carte menu offers plenty to enjoy.
Can we come for a family brunch without booking?
On weekdays, yes, most of the time. At the weekend (Friday and Saturday especially), family tables go fast: we'd suggest a WhatsApp message the day before to secure your place.
Are the children's dishes halal?
Yes. Our whole menu is halal, with no pork at all. The common allergens are flagged on request — let us know when you order.
